Moises Carlos
Moises Carlos, a Los Angeles native, founded Escala Realty Group, a full-service Real Estate and Mortgage Brokerage Company, in 2009 a year after the start of the mortgage crises.
Prior to founding Escala Realty Group, Moises led the acquisition of development opportunities in the Los Angeles area for DBA, Inc, a real estate development company and worked as a Land Acquisitions Analyst for Richmond American Homes, a publicly traded home-builder. In this capacity, Moises sourced and structured deals, negotiated purchase agreements, and managed the due diligence process for land acquisitions in Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties for over 350 lots and projected gross revenues of over $150 million.
Moises has a history of community involvement stemming from his early experience as Assistant Director of the Riordan Programs and Associate Director of MBA Admissions at UCLA Anderson School. Moises currently serves as Trustee for Chatsworth Hills Academy and was previously on the Riordan Programs at UCLA Anderson’s Advisory Board and as Board Member for Crown Prep Academy, a charter school in South Central Los Angeles. Moises served for three years as President of the Riordan Programs Alumni Association.
Moises has volunteered with organizations such as Big Brothers of Greater Los Angeles, INROADS, MLT, the UCLA Alumni Association, the UCLA Latino Alumni Association, Junior Achievement, CAMS Entrepreneurship Business Convention, the LEAD Program in Business, and the Riordan Programs.
Moises earned a BA in Economics from UCLA and an MBA in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.
